Denise's mom and Mommom Arlene threw her a lovely baby shower on the Island a few weeks ago. It was so nice to see the glowing mommy-to-be and all her friends and family. Thanks to everyone who kept Grace in their prayers. Everything seemed to go very smooth today for them. The hospital was running ahead of schedule which is always good! Heather said that Grace took her little baby doll back with her to the operating room. That is so cute. Grace made it through the surgery with little bleeding and no complications. Such a praise!

Sweet Summer

He will be mad at me one day for this one but....it's cute for now!
Moon over Assateague, VA ocean. (my parents sent this picture to me.)
My box airplane!
Logan waded in his baby pool today on this hot & sultry summer day. Man was it humid! He is getting really brave in the water. He is not a water baby usually. The picture of Logan in the box cracks me up. It looked like he was flying an airplane. I sent this picture to my sister-in-law, Liz. She said he looked very proud of himself in this picture. He was! He really thought he was doing something. He stayed entertained for the longest time in this diaper box. haha. I told Liz...had I known this, Jack & I would not had bought him hundreds of toys. He seems to enjoy random things more, like a box!
Prayers are appreciated for my niece, Grace. As I mentioned in a previous blog, she is having surgery tomorrow morning. Thanks!

Prayers for Grace

Grace...2 weeks old.
This coming Monday my niece, Grace will be having surgery. She has been having off and on trouble with strep for a while. Other than that she is a healthy, happy, and beautiful girl! Her parents and pediatrician feel like removing her tonsils and adenoids is the path to take for Grace. As always, Grace will be in God's hands on Monday. Please pray that God guides the surgeon's hands to do the best job he can. Please also pray that God comforts Heather and Doug now, during the surgery, and after when Grace is recovering. Pray that Grace is a brave little soldier through it all and that she has a quick recovery. Please pray that the surgery is a success and the answer to the problem. I love this little girl with my whole heart and I trust that the Lord will carry Grace, Heather, & Doug through this! Your prayer warriors are here for you G! We love you!

He FINALLY said it!

Logan and I had to go to the Langley Air Force Base today. I had a Dr. appointment at the hospital. So many people were making a fuss over how well behaved Logan was and how cute he was. I am sure many babies get this kind of attention too. However, I was very proud of little man just the same. We got home and we both were a little tired. We laid down to take a nap. When we woke up Logan was ready to play. I was watching tv and Logan tried to crawl off of the bed. I of course held him back. He looked at me and said, "Mama" (in a fussy way)..lol. It was the sweetest thing I have ever heard. I have been waiting a long time to hear that come out of his mouth. He has been saying dada for a while now. However, I feel like this is the first word he associates anything with. He knows I am his mama. This has made my day.

Snail Mail

Here is a picture of my dad my mom sent me on Father's Day. He is reading Logan's snail mail that he sent him. My dad loves homemade cards. I wrote a poem (from Logan) and had Logan doodle at the bottom of the poem. This will have to do until Logan is able to draw pictures. I think dad enjoyed it!
