Treasures Beyond Measure by John C. Bonser

If we could reach up in the sky
And gather all the stars that lie
Like diamonds on a moon-lit floor,
Our mother's deeds would sparkle more!

If we could race through outer space
To find that "ivory-palace place."
Our journey would be futile miles:
For heaven's near in Mother's smiles.

If oyster beds in oceans deep
Gave up the precious pearls they keep:
If earth's high hills revealed the ore
Gold miners have not found before,
Those pearls below, that gold above,
Would pale beside our mother's love!

My niece, Grace made a home-made Mother's Day card for her Mommy with this poem included on it too! I fell in love with the poem just like Heather did with her card!
