Welcoming Autumn!

Today felt like a beautiful fall day! This is my most favorite time of year. I love how the trees change to their beautiful fall colors and the crisp air! I can not wait to dress Logan up for Halloween! : ) Ahhh....Autumn! Life is grand! Best yet...I get to welcome my favorite season with Logan. We were out and about today and I saw some mums and pumpkins and couldn't resist posing Logan next to them. Jack was off for the day and I was so glad to have both my boys with me! Jack wanted to pick out Logan's outfit today (so cute)... and he did a great job! Mommy bought his first baseball cap at The Children's Place last week. He looks so precious in it!

Skyler Update....

Thought I would give a little update on my maltese Skyler. He is recovering great since his surgery. I took him outside today to let him walk around and stretch his legs a little. He is usually confined in his cage here lately so he can heal properly. Skyler just hangs out in his cage and Tobey a lot of times will lay right beside him. They have always been close buddies! Usually I use a sling to assist Skyler's walking for his hind legs. Today I decided to let him romp around without the sling. I was scared to let him go on his own but I did! To my surprise he was WALKING! He is still a little weak in his hind legs but that is to be expected. The main thing is that he was WALKING without any help from me at all! I am so thrilled and can only pray he continues to make more progress! I gave him a bathj today because he REALLY needed one. I was afraid his spunky little spirit would be broken because of all this but he is doing really well! Both Tobey and Skyler are adjusting really well with the baby in the house. It took Tobey a little while to get over his jealousy issues but he is very curious of Logan now. Skyler acts as if nothing has changed at all. Whenever Logan cries Tobey runs right over to Logan's cradle and sometimes he will stand back on his hind legs to peek in at him! It is so cute!

I love it when my son smiles.....

2 Weeks Old

Logan just turned 2 weeks old! I can not believe it! Before I know it I will be sending him off to Kindergarden! I do not even want to think about that just yet! The past two weeks have been tiring but my little man has been so worth it! He still looks like his daddy although I am certain he will eventually turn out to look like me! : ) He has been eating 2-3 ounces every 2 to 3 hours. My boy likes to eat! I am still having to wake him up for his feedings through the night. Not only does Logan like to eat but he loves his sleep too! He looks just like Jack when he is sleeping. It is so precious. He is very alert and likes to check out things going on around him. He is passionate about his binky...my goodness he loves that thing! He has captured my heart and my life has been changed for the better forever. When he looks at me with his sweet little eyes my heart just melts and I realize why I was put here on this earth...to be this child's mother. The picture I have just posted is of Logan about 2 weeks old. The outfit he is wearing is what Jack & I dressed him in the day we were both discharged from the hospital. His hat and onsie say "Thank Heaven for Little Boys" and I couldn't agree more. I love my little Logan!

First Outing

Jack and I waited until Logan was a week old to start taking him out and about. On September 17th Logan had his first outing. We took him with us to get the oil changed in our truck and a trip to LOWES! Mommy and Daddy had to buy an area rug for the house and Logan of course tagged along with us. We also took him out to breakfast to Cracker Barrell. So far so good...he has been a VERY good baby out in public. No breakdowns at all. We have been very blessed. He is also sleeping through most every night. I have had to wake him up for his feedings. My boy loves to sleep! Enjoy the picture of Logan posing in front of Lowes. My mother-in-law loves this picture.

Visitors

Logan had his Grandma Tracy and Great Grandmother Arlene come and visit him today. He had his first outing to lunch today and he was such a good boy! He slept the entire time while we had our nice lunch! My friend Catherine and her sister Sarah came for a visit as well. My friend BB stopped in to see Logan too but I forgot to grab my camera while she was here. We really enjoyed all of our company today! Everyone loves little Logan. I am so proud of him! He is a special little boy! Daddy had to go back to work today after being home with Logan and I for the past week. It was hard for him to go back. We have really enjoyed our bonding time as a new family...Just the three of us! : ) I took the sweet picture of my two favorite guys yesterday. I just love them to pieces!

Introducing Logan Michael

Logan Michael was born on 9-10-2009 at 3:03 am. He weighed 9 pounds. I think he is the spitting image of his daddy and a tiny splash of me. Everything went really well. I ended up getting the epidural. I tried to tough it out as long as possible but I finally gave in. I enjoyed the delivery part. I actually was smiling and laughing through it! Jack did great as my coach. I am so proud of him. He is a natural daddy! The only problem we ran into was Logan had a slight case of jaundice a few days after he was born. We have been followed up by his pediatrician and Logan's levels are rapidly decreasing. He is doing really well! I am enjoying my beautiful little family. I never knew how much I could love someone! My son and my husband are my world and it is an incredible feeling being a mommy! I fell in love with Logan as soon as I layed eyes on him. My heart feels so complete. Enjoy this picture of my little man. I will post MANY more pictures later.

Cameron's Baptism

Our niece, Cameron was just baptized at her church with her family in attendance. She is a beautiful little girl. I can not believe how fast everyone is growing. Here are a few pictures from that day. This is Jack's brother's family. Seems just like yesterday when Collin and Caitlyn were the babies of the family!

About ready to POP!

Today is my brother-in-laws birthday. Happy Birthday Eric! I think he thought Logan was going to be born today as well. My husband thought the very same thing. However, obviously he is still not here because I certainly would not be posting this blog right now. Here is a quick picture of me 9 months pregnant. I think I have dropped some since last night! I am still feeling good and ready to get this show on the road. I think my entire family is ready for this to get started too! I am going to go ahead and wrap up this blog...my hubby is on his way home with a CHEESE PIZZA! YUMMY!

Update on Mr. Skyler

I love my little boy! He has such a sweet little spirit and such a will to get better. Skyler is bouncing back from his surgery. I am so proud of him! He is trying to use his hind legs and he has movement in them which is great! With assistance he can put some of his weight on his hind legs. He is in confinement for 3 more weeks meaning he spends most of the day in his cage. Then he will be able to hopefully walk around the house by himself. We have started him on lazer therapy which is supposed to speed up his recovery, help him walk faster, and prevent future injuries from occuring again like this. We are just taking one day at a time and praying he makes a full recovery!

Making Progress!

I had a check-up today for Logan Michael. His little heartbeat was normal and he is still in position ready to go! They checked to see if I was making any progress and I am already at 1 cm! My doctor said that he expects me to have Logan by next week. However, this is my first child so anything can happen. Last night Jack and I were watching tv and Logan was pressing so hard on my stomach with his foot. I could not make out an impression of his foot. However, we were able to feel his tiny foot through my stomach. It was the coolest thing ever! Our mouths just dropped and we thought that was so cute. We are in a waiting game as Logan continues to bake inside momma's tummy! Jack and I are going to enjoy this last weekend as a couple alone without little Logan. However, to be honest with you we are ready for him to be here now. I am so anxious..nervous...excited...about my labor and delivery! Prayers appreciated! I am holding onto the best advice I have been given by my sister. She told me recently that everything worth doing is not always easy. I could not agree with her more. Logan has been worth everything thus far and I believe with my whole heart he will be worth everything I am about to face next week to get him here! The picture I posted is of me as I am sitting here creating this post for you now...9 months pregnant!
