Twas the Night Before Christmas

Here are a few quick pictures from today. This is my niece, Grace in Maryland. They are so lucky to have a White Christmas! She had fun today playing out in the snow. Logan had a busy day playing in his little bouncer and watching Mommy bake Christmas cookies. It was a nice day! Looks like Santa has already been to our house! Logan must have been a good boy these past few months. : ) My Christmas lights are twinkling and my house smells like cookies. I can not wait until tomorrow morning. Even after all these years and I am grown...I still feel like a child-at-heart this time of year! (Jack is even a bigger kid than I am!) He's so cute! He loves Christmas!

Christmas how I remember it...

Here is my parent's Christmas tree in Maryland. This is the setting how I remember every Christmas growing up. My parents always made the holidays so festive for my sister and I and it felt warm and cozy. I am blessed to have these wonderful memories to treasure forever. We were not able to make it to the Eastern Shore for Christmas. However, Jack and I are very excited to begin our own traditions and memories with our son.

Here is my little boy all snug as a bug. I wrapped him up in a blanket while I cooked dinner. He is very observant and enjoyed watching me cook our sketti dinner. He is growing too quick!

I love being a Mommy...

I love my mom and my sister with my whole heart and they are two of my bestest friends. They have always been there to love, guide, and support me my entire life. Before having my own child I could not fully understand the true measure of love my mom has for me. Now that I have Logan I have a deeper understanding of not only my mom but my dad as well. Parents have an agape love for their children. Watching my sister with her daughter Grace..you can tell her love for her is endless as well. She is a wonderful mommy! Here is a little tribute to my mom and my sister and to all the mothers I know. Being a mommy is hard work but the rewards are truly worth it. I am blessed to have them in my life and to be the mother of my handsome son.

My dear friend Catherine and her husband visited us the other day! Love this couple to death..they are the sweetest people ever! Cat has been right there for me all the way through my pregnancy and she loves little Logan! I am blessed to have someone like Catherine in my life.
