Thank you Heather, Doug, and Gigi for my beautiful flowers for my birthday. I took pictures of them so I can remember them forever. It was a nice perk to receive for my birthday! : ) Lillies are one of my favorites and my sis and her family are some of my favorite people too! I took some pictures of Logan in his daddy's Coast Guard hat. I loved the way they turned out. The hat of course was way too big for Logan but it still turned out cute. I also took some more pictures of my roses from Jack. I love them..I love him! Logan is taking a nap right now which gives me a chance to do a bit of blogging. Jack is working today and has duty tonight. So we will see you sometime tomorrow babe!

Visit from Mommom & Pop-de-dop...

My parents came in for a visit this weekend. It was so nice to see them. Jack ended up having to work Friday and most of Saturday. However, he made it home just in time for us to catch a movie. Can I say, "Dear John!" That movie was great! I really reccomend this one! My husband even liked it. I started reading the book a few weeks ago. I must say I am enjoying the book more. It is a little different from the movie. Anyway, the first picture is my parents pushing Logan in his stroller in Smithfield, VA. I took them to the bakery to eat the best chicken salad sandwich on tomato basil bread that you will ever put in your mouth! OMG! So yummy! I have mentioned Smithfield before and it is one of my favorite places. It is a quaint little town and my family likes it there too. My parents sent me the other picture as they were going over the bay bridge this morning. What a beautiful sunrise! Notice all of the cutters and boats along the horizon? My husband works out there just like that too! I also took my parents to Lone Star Lakes. I will upload those pictures ASAP. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and have a great week!

Shining Stars...

www.shiningstars.com..."Logan" is located somewhere in this constellation...(shiningstars.com)So cute...

Logan's new buddy...

Shining Stars is an official product of International Star Registry. My sister and her family gave Logan the sweet little stuffed tiger when he was born. Along with the tiger came the opportunity to name a star. I chose a star in the Hercules constellation . There is no other better name I could think of to name his star other than "Logan." So there is a beautiful star up in the sky named after my precious boy! This was such a neat gift Aunt Heather, Uncle Doug, & Grace! Thank you so much! If you have a telescope and you would like to check out our "Logan star" you can locate it at... Hercules 17h 15m 36.06s 37 degrees 11" 35.03" They even give you a star certificate for keepsakes! I love the whole idea of this! Happy star gazing! : )

My two favorite boys Valentine's Day morning... VA Beach...1st time Logan saw the ocean....

My two handsome fellows...

Atlanta Bread for lunch...

Me & my Logan...

Jack & I have always enjoyed our time together on this romantic day of the year. However, I must say that this was the best Valentine's Day I have had in my entire life. I had not one but TWO Valentine's this year! Jack & I took Logan to Virginia Beach for Valentine's Day. Logan saw the ocean for the first time. It was so cold but it was just so beautiful there along the shore. I am excited to take him there this summer when things are bumping on the boardwalk. I think he will have a blast there! We were supposed to go to dinner at the Cavalier a few days ago. However, Jack and I have both been nursing colds. Therefore, we decided to go another time when we are feeling better. However, we scoped out the Cavalier for on Valentine's Day as well. It got me super excited to go to dinner there! It is a stunning place! I had a very nice day with my two guys. I am so blessed to be able to feel so much love in my heart for them! On a side note...Jack, Logan, and I were upstairs this afternoon watching a movie. I had Logan down on the floor doing his daily tummy time. Jack & I just happened to be watching him at the same time and he rolled over on his back! This was such a milestone and I am so proud of him! Before I was a parent I never thought I would get excited over these kinds of things...but I do! : ) I hope everyone had a very nice HEART Day too!

Valentine's Day Treat...

This is super yummy and so easy to make. You need a bag of tiny twist pretzals, a bag of Valentine's M & M's, Hershey's Hugs and the regular chocolate Hershey Kisses. You place the pretzals on a baking sheet. Then place your hugs and kisses on top of the pretzal. You let them bake for about 4-6 minutes at 170 degrees. * The white chocolate will cook quicker then the chocolate. * You immidiatley place your M & M's on top of the hugs and kisses and press down. They are so yummy! This is another great idea to make for your honey for Valentine's Day! Enjoy!

We love you Steven...

My cousin, Steven, tragically died 4 years ago on February 9th in a car accident. This was one of the saddest days I think I have ever experienced in my life. He was 17 years old and just beginning life. I will always remember him talking about looking forward to going to college. He started talking about going to college when he was a young kid. He loved his red Camero and he looked great in it too! When I think of Steven I only have wonderful thoughts of him. My last memory of him was at my wedding and he gave me and Jack a big hug and flashed his beautiful smile with his big, bright, and beautiful eyes. He said, "Welcome to the family..." to Jack. That was the last time I laid eyes on this amazing person. If I had only known then what I know now I would have held on a little longer and a little tighter when he gave us that hug. Steven was the most sincere and kind hearted person I have ever met. His love for his friends and family ran as deep as the ocean. He was a friend to everyone and would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He is missed by his family and friends tremendously. He will forever hold a special place in my heart. I think of him everyday and look forward to meeting up with him again someday! Steven was a blessing to our family and we will love him forever.

This song was sung at Steven's memorial service...
When I get where I'm going ~ Brad Paisly and Dolly Parton

When I get where I'm going on the far side of the sky. The first thing that I'm gonna do is spread my wings and fly. I'm gonna land beside a lion and run my fingers through his mane. Or I might find out what's it's like to ride a drop of rain. Yeah when I get where I'm going there'll be only happy tears. I will shed the sins and struggles I have carried all these years. And I'll leave my heart wide open. I will love and have no fear. Yeah when I get where I'm going, Don't cry for me down here. I'm gonna walk with my grandaddy. And he'll match me step for step, and I'll tell him how I missed him every minute since he's left. Then I'll hug his neck. So much pain and so much darkness, in this world we stumble through. All these questions I can't answer, so much work to do. But when I get where I'm going, and I see my Maker's face, I'll stand forever in the light of His amazing grace.

Can it be true?...

I just can not get over how I am 28 years old! At 11:45 am I officially turned 28. Wow! Where are the years going? I remember crying my eyes out when I turned 25...I was halfway there to 30 and that was a real problem for me! haha.. Now look at me! I can honestly say I did not cry over turning 26, 27, or 28. I just feel blessed for every year the good Lord gives me. I am not doing anything special today. Just hanging out in my pj's with Logan. It is so much fun having him around for these occasions. We are waiting for daddy to get home from work and then we will celebrate some more. Jack is off tomorrow so we are going to head over to Virginia Beach for the day. Jack is taking me out to dinner at the Cavalier Hotel. It is a landmark in Virginia Beach. It is absolutley stunning. I have always wanted to go there. Here is the website to this location... http://www.cavalierhotel.com There have been I believe 7 United States Presidents who have visited there as well. We were supposed to go there for our anniversary this year but we ended up going somewhere else. Logan was a bit cranky that day so we did not want to take him somewhere nice like that and ruin everyone's time. So this is really my rain check dinner for our anniversary and my birthday. I am so looking forward to it! Meanwhile, I am having a good day. The sun is out and it is a beautiful day! Thank you for all the birthday wishes, cards, gifts, flowers, emails, texts....it really means alot to me! I hope everyone has a great day and weekend too!

Martina McBride - Valentine Lyrics

Martina McBride - Valentine Lyrics:
"If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my valentine

All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly

I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time...
You're all I need, my love, my valentine

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
Because all I need is you, my valentine
You're all I need, my love, my valentine"

Happy Valentine's Day...

I heart you.... Flanked by Sweethearts...My mommy's favorite Valentine's candy...

You've got my heart, Mommy... Rosy cheeks...
Love to Love you baby...

My little cupid...

I think they are striking the same pose...

Mommy is my Valentine...

Looks like he's trying to shout out..."I LOVE MOMMY!" : )

We might be a little early for LOVE day but what the hay! Everyday should have love in the air. *Happy Heart Day*! I am so lucky to have 2 Valentine's this year...Logan and his Daddy! : ) My favorite song for this time of year is by Martina McBride called Valentine. I have always loved this song but now that I am married and have a baby of my own it has much deeper maeaning.

5 Months Old...

....and growing and growing and growing! Logan is already into 12 month clothes! Jack and I had to go clothes shopping for him the other day because he had grown so fast out of everything. My little stink bug has so much personality and he is so much fun! I love how when I walk into the room where he is at he smiles and laughs when he sees me. I love his laugh. He has found his toes and loves to check them out. He still loves his exersaucer and swing. Cat naps are still his thing during the day. However, he sleeps through the entire night until about 7:30ish am! Baby boy is teething and that can be a little aweful for him. No teeth yet but I think his gums might be itchy and maybe sore. He loves his bottle or what I call his milkshake. When I am shaking it up for him I know he hears it and he starts laughing and gets really excited. He is still eating his sweet peas and sweet potatoes...I call his sweet potatoes his pie. He eats his pie up so fast! I can not get it into his mouth quick enough. Each day brings new things. Each day I can honestly say is a new adventure. I am learning things about him everyday and learning things about myself as well. I love being Logan's mommy.

Cloud 9...

I love these pictures of baby boy. It looks like he is floating on a cloud and he looks so happy! I saw this carpet prop for my pictures and just had to get it. I had fun the other day posing Logan in these shots. It is really subtle but if you look close you can see real fine blonde hair! It is slow coming in but were getting there. So funny how dark his hair started and not it is really light!

More snow pictures...

Mom shoveling snow...bless her heart...I was helping too!My momma's snow angel...

Uncle Don plowing us out again....

Baby it's cold outside....

Just a neat picture....

This snow storm stuff in Maryland is out-of-control, son.. I talked to my mom earlier today and she said they are supposed to get another wave of snow tonight. I know they must be so over it! Virginia, on the other hand, has gotten rid of most of our snow. Here are some more pictures when I was in Maryland a few weeks back.
